Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a format of data into a reproducible format in regard to a data processing method and a data processor. SOLUTION: A home gateway 1 judges whether or not output data is a format which can be reproduced by an output target apparatus on the basis of a reproduction request by a user. If the output data is not a format which can be reproduced by the output target apparatus, the home gateway 1 converts the output data into a format which can be reproduced by the output target apparatus, and supplies it to the output target apparatus.
