METHOD FOR CREATING ROM SOFT IP FOR BUILT IN MICROCONTROLLER SOFT IP, AND RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDED WITH PROGRAM FOR EXECUTING THIS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an IP designer to easily design ROM-integrated MPU soft IP, and an MPU core IP user to enter ROM program data of programmed size. SOLUTION: A method of creating ROM soft IP comprises a step of creating a header file describing initial information on ROM soft IP and specifying syntax for describing ROM addresses and instruction words, a tail file describing end information, and an empty file for describing operations of the ROM soft IP, and selecting an MPU program memory hexafile; a step of copying the header file in the empty file, converting addresses and instruction words made up of ASCII characters in the program memory hexafile to start addresses and instruction words in an electronic circuit design language, and copying the tail file to generate a ROM code conversion program; and a step of executing the ROM code conversion program to generate a ROM soft IP file.
