GAS CONTACT TYPE DRYING METHOD AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely dry the dried matter such as sewage sludge by reducing the dust mixed in a heating medium gas without enlarging a multistage drying floor area. SOLUTION: The dried matter supplied to a drying chamber 1 is dried while being kept into contact with a main heat medium gas of evaporated steam, while successively transferred from an upper drying floor face to a plurality of lower drying floor faces 4-8. The drying chamber 1 has a main drying part 10 provided with a plurality of upper drying floor faces 3-8, and a final stage drying part 11 for drying the dried matter in a final drying stage by bringing the same into contact with the heating medium gas for final drying stage of the evaporated steam having a wind speed lower than the main heating medium gas. A main heating medium gas circulating channel 14 in the main drying part 11 and a heating medium gas circulating channel 17 for final drying stage in the final stage drying part 11 are respectively formed.
