Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating weft weaving timing close to the actual value based on known weft-inserting conditions. SOLUTION: The method for calculating weft weaving timing is applied to a weft-inserting device in a fluid jet loom which includes a weft-inserting nozzle to be fed with a pressure fluid corresponding to the number of revolutions of the main shaft of a loom and capable of normally inserting a weft and functioning to jet the weft together with the pressure fluid in response to its insertion and a weft-seizing member disposed on a weft length-measuring reservoir side and functioning to release a weft in response to beginning the weft-inserting nozzle's jetting. This method comprises calculating the weft weaving timing representing the timing of allowing the weft to get into a warp opening based on the set values for known weft-inserting conditions, wherein the set values include either one of the weft-insertion nozzle's jet-starting timing, the weft-seizing member's releasing timing, the revolutions of the main shaft and the pressure value of the pressure fluid.
