PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool changing device capable of achieving compact constitution, achieving high tool positioning precision, and enabling tool changing work to be conducted in short processing cycle time. SOLUTION: Step parts 5a and 5b with an L-shaped cross section, having a vertical regulation surface 6 and a horizontal engagement surface 7, are provided on both sides of a main body 2 of a tool 1. On one side of a holding part 11 where the tool 1 to be changed is placed and held, a first engagement member 13 having a first engagement projection 12 facing the engagement surface 7 of one step part 5a, with an end surface 12a applied to the regulation surface, is provided. On the other side of the holding part 11, a second engagement member 15 having a second engagement projection 14 facing the engagement surface 7 of the other step part 5b at a middle part, with an end surface 14a on each side part applied to an outer circumferential part of a main body part 2 at each side position of the step part 5b, is provided.
