| Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow detector of powder granular materials having means for detecting an electric charge which occurs owing to the contact of the powder granular materials with the inner wall of a transfer pipe and diagnosing as to whether an amplifying circuit for amplifying its signal is faulty in the flow detector of the powder granular materials for detecting the flow of a very small amount of powder granular materials through the transfer pipe. SOLUTION: The flow detector of the powder granular materials is provided with: metal piping electrically insulated and inserted in piping for transferring the powder granular materials; and the signal processing means for detecting the flow of the powder granular materials passed through the metal piping on the basis of an electric charge with which the metal piping is charged. The signal processing means comprises an amplifying circuit for amplifying a current due to the electric charge with which the metal piping is charged, and is further provided with a failure diagnosing means for diagnosing failure of the amplifying circuit by changing input to the amplifying circuit.
