Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct current pump capable of simply reducing a thrust in a radial direction from a discharge side with a small mechanical loss and without a need of a high level of mechanical processing, and a method for reducing a thrust in a radial direction of the direct current pump capable of simply reducing the thrust in the radial direction. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a direct current pump and a method for reducing a thrust in a radial direction. The pump comprises a ring-like impeller 1; a magnet rotor 2 installed on an inner periphery of the impeller 1; an armature; a pump casing 4 provided with a pump chamber C for accommodating the impeller 1 and the magnet rotor 2, an inlet port 7 for sucking a fluid to the pump chamber C from a direction of an impeller outer periphery and a discharge port 8 for discharging the fluid to the direction of the impeller outer periphery; and a casing cover 5. The pump casing 4 and the casing cover 5 are inclined in a manner that the discharge port 8 is positioned lower than the inlet port 7 when a horizontal plane H is a reference.
