Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a resin composition which can promptly be cured by being irradiated with active energy rays such as ultraviolet rays, provides a cured product having a low refractive index, an excellent transparency, solvent resistance and a high hardness, and necessitates no intermixing at processing when it is used as a resin composition for a polymer optical waveguide; to develop its cured product; and to develop the polymer optical waveguide having a low optical transmission loss, using the cured product thereof. SOLUTION: The resin composition with a low refractive index for the polymer optical waveguide, is obtained by synthesizing a fluorine atom-containing urethane (meth)acrylate having a specific structure and compounding it with an optional at least bifunctional (meth)acrylate comprising no aromatic group such as a benzene ring in the molecule and with a photopolymerization initiator, The polymer optical waveguide is obtained by preparing an optical core material and optical clad material, using the resin composition with a low refractive index.
