Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material of which the properties such as a modulus of elasticity, plastic deformation and the like are controlled. SOLUTION: The building material composition is obtained by having an un-swelled vermiculite with controlled bottom refraction d002formulated into a substrate, wherein the amount to be formulated is 5-70 mass% of the total composition (solid content). Further, the building material composition is obtained by having an un-swelled vermiculite with bottom refraction d002of 10.0-13.0 formulated into a substrate, wherein the amount to be formulated is 5-70 mass% of the total composition (solid content). Thus, the building material is obtained by molding the building material. The un-swelled vermiculite is obtained by screening natural vermiculites or treating a vermiculite or its precursor.
