Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polyelectrolyte (composite) membrane which has a sufficiently high proton conductivity for use in a fuel cell and the like and is excellent in thermal resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The solid polyelectrolyte (composite) membrane contains a homogeneous composition comprising: a resin containing the phosphate group which is formed by copolymerizing (a) an unsaturated monomer (I) containing phosphate group which has an acidic phosphate group and an ethylenic unsaturated bond in the molecule, (b) an unsaturated monomer (II) containing the phosphate group which has an acidic phosphate group and two ethylenic unsaturated bonds in the molecule, and/or (c) an unsaturated monomer (III) containing the phosphate group which has an acidic phosphate group and three ethylenic unsaturated bonds in the molecule; and a polyamide resin. The solid polyelectrolyte (composite) membrane has a remarkably high proton conductivity, low temperature dependence of the proton conductivity, and excellent thermal resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical strength.
