Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generation system capable of correctly detecting the timing of exchanging of a desulfurizer. SOLUTION: The fuel cell power generation system has a detection means detecting that the desulfurizer 2 is almost up to limit of usage, and the detection means converts a volume or a density of sulfur in the fuel gas located in the desulfurizer 2 near the outlet thereof into en electric output, and is provided with a sulfur sensor 64 composed of terminals 66, 67 measuring a sulfur absorbent (zinc oxide 62 and 62A) filled in the desulfurizer 2 and resistance of the sulfur absorbent (zinc oxide 62A), and a cover 68 surrounding the sulfur absorbent (zinc oxide 62A) formed so that the gas pass through the periphery of the sulfur absorbent (zinc oxide 62A).
