PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an operation is usually required to receive information while the operation is troublesome. SOLUTION: An information processing system is provided with a content acquisition device and a mediation device. The content acquisition device is provided with a content acquisition part which acquires contents from the mediation device, a content storage part which stores the contents, and an identifier notification part which gives a content acquisition device identifier to the mediation device. The mediation device is provided with a contents reception part which receives the contents from the outside, a content notification part which gives the contents to the content acquisition device, an identifier acquisition part which acquires the content acquisition device identifier from the content acquisition device, and an identifier transmission part that transmits the content acquisition device identifier, which the identifier acquisition part acquires, to the outside. By the information processing system mentioned above, the contents are easily acquired only by arranging the content acquisition device on a higher-order position to the mediation device.
