CLEANING DEVICE FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for an electrophotographic apparatus capable of surely removing residual developer which is not used for printing processing and remains on the surfaces of each of printing members of the electrophotographic apparatus using liquid developer without causing liquid leakage by simple structure. SOLUTION: The cleaning device is equipped with a residual developer removing blade 1 formed of an elastic body such as rubber and having shape that projected blade bank parts 1a are provided at both ends, and removes the developer without causing the liquid leakage from both ends by damming the residual developer gathered to the edge of the blade 1 by the bank part 1a when removing the residual developer on the surface of the printing member 3. The device is equipped with a supporting member 2 for pressing the back of the residual developer removing blade 1 to the printing member 3 being a cleaning object. Then, it is equipped with a means for bringing the residual developer removing blade 1 having such shape into contact with the surface of the printing member 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
