WOODEN CHIP PAVING MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden chip paving material composition which is an application of wooden chips to pavement of a pedestrian road, etc., wherein a paving material after hardening has suitable strength, whereby the paving material hardly undergoes deformation such as bending or warping over a long period of time after paving. SOLUTION: The wooden chip paving material composition contains the pulverized wooden chips, a water-borne resin emulsion, a liquid urethane prepolymer containing terminal NCO groups, and short fibers, and the ratio of the water-borne resin emulsion:the liquid urethane prepolymer containing terminal NCO groups:the short fibers is set to the range of 1-5:20-40:0.01-1.00 in terms of parts by weight of solid content with respect to the pulverized wooden chips of 100 pts.wt. Specifically the content of terminal NCO groups in the liquid urethane prepolymer is reduced to the range of 1 to 5 %, and therefore contraction of the paving material after hardening is prevented, to thereby provide a pavement body having necessary compressive strength and little expansion of the resin.
