Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image carrier cleaning device of an image forming apparatus which realizes easy and reliable attaching/detaching operations to/from an image carrier. SOLUTION: The image carrier cleaning device 12 of the image forming apparatus attached/detached to/from an image carrier 8 so as to clean the image carrier 8 carrying an image is provided with a rotatable cleaning member 31 attached/detached to/from the image carrier 8. The attaching/detaching operation of the cleaning member 31 to/from the image carrier 8 is performed by the rotational torque of a driving gear to transmit rotational force to the cleaning member 31.
