Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation which can be easily installed by dispensing with the deep driving of a pile even in the case of soft ground, and a work execution method for the foundation. SOLUTION: A penetration type foundation 1 is equipped with a foundation block (a foundation skeleton) 1a which is arranged on the ground, and a plurality of plate-like members (a side plate 1b and a ditch plate 1c) which are elongated downward from the foundation block 1a so as to penetrate through the ground. An underground ditch 1d, which is to be used as a common ditch, is provided in a position which is surrounded by the side plate 1b, the ditch plate 1c and the foundation block 1a.
