Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure at an opening for furnace maintenance, which extends the service life of a sealed part by eliminating deformation and degradation caused by exposure of a seal plate to a hot blast, and prevents aggravation of an atmosphere in a furnace. SOLUTION: The seal structure between the opening 2 for furnace maintenance and a cover 3, which is formed in a bottom part or a ceiling part of a furnace body 1, has a dual structure comprising a first seal section 4 made of the seal plate 5 and a seal groove 6 into which the top of the seal plate 5 is inserted, and a second seal section 8 installed in the internal circumferential portion. The second seal section 8 thermally insulates the seal plate 5 from hot blast in the furnace. In addition, the second seal section 8 comprises a sealant 9 in the upper part and a sealant 10 in the lower part accommodated in the groove. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
