VERIFICATION DEVICE FOR GRINDING OF ELECTRODE TIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verification device for grinding of an electrode tip, which can accurately discriminate whether an electrode tip is precisely ground or not with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The verification device M for grinding is equipped with an inspection tool 25 and a controller for discriminating completion of grinding for a pair of electrode tips 11, 12. The inspection tool has recesses 26, 27 and a through-hole 25a, while the recesses 26, 27 are arranged correspondingly to the tip end shape of the grinding-completed tips 11, 12. The through-hole 25a is prepared in a manner that the tip end faces 11b, 12b of the tips can come into contact with each other at storage of the grinding-completed tips 11, 12 into the recesses, and that the tip end faces 11b, 12b are brought into a state of non-contact away from each other at storage of the grinding-uncompleted tips into the recesses. The controller, at storage of the tip inspection tool into the recesses, detects the mutual contact of the tip end faces 11b, 12b to decide that grinding is completed and detects the mutual non-contact of the tip end faces to decide that grinding is not completed.
