Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold which can uniformly cool a casting, and to provide a method of cooling a casting. SOLUTION: A plurality of medium inserting holes 15 are arranged from the surface of a mold so that tip bottom parts 15A of the holes 15 are located in the vicinity of the forming face of a casting forming space 4. Cooling media 16 for absorbing heat from the bottom parts 15A of the medium inserting holes 15 and radiating the heat to the outside of the mold are respectively inserted into the medium inserting holes 15 to form the mold.
