Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating stopping method for a coater for swinging either one of the rolls provided to the left and right regions of the coater to separate a web from the coater and a coating apparatus for applying a coating solution to the web during feed in a contact state, and to prevent the coating solution from adhering to a pass roll held as it is even if either one of upsteam and downstream pass rolls is raised from the other pass roll. SOLUTION: When the web 9 is separated from the coater, air is sprayed on the web 9 from above to bend the web downward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
