ELECTRIC CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector 1 capable of sufficiently enhancing shield effect, and of adequately responding to high-speed transmission, and easily manufacturable without increasing cost. SOLUTION: This electric connector 1 is equipped with: a pin connector 10 provided with a plurality of pin contacts 14, a required number of ground contacts 18 and a block 12 for holding the respective contacts; and a socket connector 30 provided with a plurality of socket contacts 34, a required number of ground contacts 38, and a housing 32 for holding the respective contacts. The block 12 and the housing 32 formed of an insulating plastic have contact insertion holes 16 and 36 for inserting the contacts 14, 18, 34 and 38, respectively; the circumferences of the insertion holes 16 and 36 are metalized 20 and 40; and the insertion holes 16 and 36 for inserting the pin contacts 14 and the socket contacts 34 are electrically insulated to make them independent of one another.
