EXTRACTING DEVICE, CHARACTER STRING INPUTTING DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string inputting device suitable for easily inputting a character string by individually dealing with a user or input conditions. SOLUTION: A code inputting part 102 accepts a code input from a user. A candidate dictionary part 103 acquires a character string preliminarily stored so as to be made correspond to the accepted code input, and applies it to a candidate extracting part 104 as prefix. The candidate extracting part 104 accepts the input of a target document, and accepts the input of the prefix, and outputs a partial character string appearing in the target document with the prefix as a candidate character string. A candidate selecting part 105 displays a character string acquired by the candidate dictionary part 103 and the candidate character string outputted from the candidate extracting part 104 as the candidate character string of the character string input, and makes a user select any of the candidate character strings.
