Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a manganese oxide-bearing material. SOLUTION: The method for producing a manganese oxide-bearing material comprises soaking an anion exchanger in a solution containing manganese ion and a hypochlorite and, in this condition irradiating the solution with ultraviolet rays. In a preferable embodiment, the anion exchanger to be used is obtained by introducing anion exchange groups onto a woven or nonwoven fabric base as a fibrous base or fiber assembly through a radiation graft polymerization technique. The manganese oxide-bearing material thus obtained is usable, for example as a separatorily functional material, for adsorbing or decomposing various gases in air or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
