Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system controller in which processing capacity can be enhanced without relying upon the memory capacity by notifying the processing capacity to a host unit and distributing the processing capacity to the host unit. SOLUTION: When a CPU 2 mounting a performance counter register performs various processing in response to a processing request from a host unit, a printer controller receives a program and data for measuring the processing capacity from the host unit, executes the program and processes the data and then notifies measurement results of processing capacity to the host unit (steps S101-S103). Processing capacity on the printer controller side is predicted on the host unit side and overload processing on the printer side is processed on the host unit side thus enhancing the processing capacity of the entire system without relying upon the mounted memory capacity.
