Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner for a vehicle of dual unit type in which an evaporator belonging to the front seat air-conditioner unit to serve for the front seats in the cabin and an evaporator belonging to the rear seat air-conditioner unit to serve for the rear seats in the cabin are put in parallel connection, capable of preventing the blowout temperature to the rear seat region from rising to a great extent compared with the front seat region when the rate of refrigerant flow remains small. SOLUTION: The air-conditioner for the vehicle includes a compressor of variable displacement type whose discharge capacity is controllable in conformity to the control signal given externally, in which the discharge capacity of the compressor is controlled on the basis of the higher one of the front seat evaporator temperature and the rear seat evaporator temperature and the target value of evaporator temperature.
