SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is equipped with a fuel cell 1 generating power by supplying hydrogen gas and oxidizing agent gas; a hydrogen gas supply passage 10 supplying the hydrogen gas to the fuel cell 1; a hydrogen offgas circulation passage 20 returning hydrogen offgas exhausted from the fuel cell 1 to the hydrogen gas supply passage 10; a hydrogen pump 7 installed in the hydrogen offgas circulation passage 20 and pressurizing the hydrogen offgas; a hydrogen offgas bypass passage 22 bypassing the hydrogen pump 7 and returning the hydrogen offgas to the hydrogen gas supply passage 10; and an ejector 6 installed in the hydrogen gas supply passage 10 and feeding the hydrogen offgas in the hydrogen offgas bypass passage 20 to the hydrogen gas supply passage 10.
