METHOD FOR PROCESSING PLANOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate making method of stably improving various printing characteristics of a planographic printing plate which uses an aluminum sheet as a support and uses a silver complex salt diffusion transfer process, more specifically, a processing method capable of stably obtaining the printing characteristics of an excellent development latitude and improved plate wear. SOLUTION: In the processing method for the planographic printing plate, the planographic printing plate having a physical development nucleus between the aluminum support subjected to surface roughening and anodic oxidation and a silver halide emulsion layer is subjected to development processing. The silver halide emulsion layer is thereafter removed and a nitrogenous heterocyclic compound having a water-soluble group and a mercapto group is incorporated into the planographic printing plate. In addition, mercapto tetrazole not having the water-soluble group or its derivative is incorporated into a developing solution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
