Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the drop strength of an Fe-Ni alloy free from the addition of strength-increasing elements. SOLUTION: The high strength Fe-Ni alloy for shadow mask is an Fe-Ni alloy having a composition consisting of, by mass, 34 to 38% Ni, ≤0.50% Mn and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities or accompanying elements (≤0.10% C, ≤0.30% Si, ≤0.30% Al, ≤0.005% S, ≤0.005% P and ≤0.10% Co). The grain size number of this alloy when recrystallization annealing after final cold rolling is performed at 750°C for 15 min and at 850°C for 15 min is made to ≥9.5 and ≥8.5, respectively.
