Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing roll manufacturing method for rapidly engraving a fine and novel design pattern on a processing roll at low cost. SOLUTION: A processing pattern is created by computer graphics, and electric signals is obtained from the processing pattern. The electric signals can also be obtained by scanning an original pattern and working the obtained signals on a computer graphics screen. The substantially flat outer circumferential surface of the roll at least the outer circumferential surface layer of which is formed of silicone rubber is engraved by irradiating the surface with laser beams on the basis of the electric signals.
