SEPARATOR FOR CARRIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a carrier capable of reducing the cleaning frequency by a worker by forming a screen so as to have a structure making it hard to cause the entanglement of hair or the like. SOLUTION: In a wastewater treatment equipment constituted so that the separator for the carriers is provided to a nitrification device 10 for bringing microorganism-immobilized carriers 12 into contact with wastewater in a nitrification tank 11 to biologically treat the wastewater, a screen 16 constituted by providing many wires parallelly under tension is arranged in the vicinity of the discharge port of the nitrification tank 11 so that the wires are inclined and the carriers 12 are prevented from flowing out of the nitrification tank 11 by the screen 16, eaves 23 are respectively arranged at many places in the height direction of the wires so that the base ends thereof are stretched across the wires and the leading ends thereof are positioned on the side of the discharge port of the nitrification tank 11.
