Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect with accuracy abnormalities of rotational position sensors 18, 19 by a simple logic, and to dispense with a microcomputer exclusive for monitoring. SOLUTION: A common rotating shaft 16 for rotatively driving the wheel of an electric automobile is driven by a pair of motors 12, 13, the rotational position of each motor is detected by the individual rotational position sensors 18, 19 serving as resolvers, and rotational speeds N1, N2 are detected by individual rotational speed detection means based on outputs of the rotational position sensors. A subtraction means obtains a difference between the rotational speeds N1, N2 of the motors operated and detected by the rotational speed detection means, and a comparison means compares the difference with a previously set value NO.
