Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compatible optical pickup device for forming a round light spot on the recording surface of an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a mount, a light output module equipped with a first and a second light sources for emitting the laser beams of different wavelength ranges, an objective lens for converging lights emitted from the first and second light sources respectively to form images on the optical recording media of different formats respectively, an optical path changing means for changing the advancing direction of an incident light, a photodetector for receiving the light emitted from the first and second light sources, reflected by the optical recording media, and made incident after passage through the optical path changing means to detect an information signal and an error signal, a movable member which drives the objective lens in the direction of correcting a focus error signal and a track error signal, and to which the objective lens is provided, and an actuator for rolling the movable member in recording/reproducing information by using one of the light emitted from the first and second light sources which advances with its center shifted from the main axis of the objective lens.
