Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overexposure in closeup photography. SOLUTION: A photograph printing system 10 is equipped with photographing devices 12 and 15 which photograph a user 50, an image output device 28 which forms an image based upon the photographing and outputs it on printing paper, and an electronic flash lamp 61 which lights up the user 50. The electronic flash lamp 61 has its irradiation direction deviating from a direction to the user 50. A lighting means of lighting an object is provided, and the lighting means has its illumination direction deviating from the direction to the subject. As the object approaches the photographing means, the quantity of light directly illuminating the object from the lighting means is made smaller than before as the distance between the object and lighting means becomes shorter. Hence an increment in the quantity of the light illuminating the object can be suppressed more than before. Further, even when the object comes too close to the photographing means, the increase in illuminance of the object can be suppressed to prevent photographing in an overexposure state.
