SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical recording medium constituted by disposing a recording layer made of a recording material on a substrate is characterized in that the recording layer is formed by coating the substrate with a solution in which the recording material is dissolved in organic solvent and cycloheptane is used as the organic solvent.
