Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine bearing device capable of being prevented for a shaft vibration owing to a hunchback phenomenon of a turbine casing on thermal expansion. SOLUTION: A relative distance between a front bearing stand 2 and a turbine shaft 9 is detected based on a detected value detected by a differential expansion detector 36 in a hydraulic source controller 37. When the detected result exceeds a predetermined value, a hydraulic pressure source is controlled with the hydraulic source controller 37, an assistant jack 19a is controlled so that an auxiliary force for moving by the assistant jack 19a is applied to the front bearing stand 2. As a result, a sliding resistance as a cause of the hunchback phenomenon is reduced so that the hunchback phenomenon of the casing of the turbine can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
