Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure which shortens the projecting length of cooling water piping and a protecting tube from an iron shell because of flexible sealing structure even when a stave cooler is thermally deformed and which provides a function for restraining the excessive thermal-deformation of the stave cooler. SOLUTION: In the structure for sealing a cooling water pipe protecting tube 3 in a stave cooler 1 and an iron shell 4, a corrugated thin sheet 7 having projecting and recessed parts having a concentrically circular shape is arranged between an inner cylinder 5 welded on the outside of the above protecting tube and a cylindrical sealing box 6 welded to the iron shell. Desirably, the maximum outer diameter (d1) of the inner cylinder welded on the outside of the protecting tube is larger than the minimum inner diameter (d2) of the cylindrical sealing box welded to the iron shell, and the maximum outer diameter part of the inner cylinder is positioned in a more outer part of the furnace compared to the minimum inner diameter part of the cylindrical sealing box.
