INK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition capable of realizing good image on a plain paper, particularly an ink composition excellent in discharge stability, storage stability, a coloring property and fixability and realizing good image scarcely causing bleeding by mixed color and printing unevenness, when used for ink jet recording method. SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a polyether-modified polysiloxane represented by formula (1) [wherein R1 to R7 are each independently a 1-6C alkyl group; j and k are each independently an integer of ≥0; EO is an ethyleneoxy group; PO is a propyleneoxy group; l, m and n are each an integer of ≥0 with the proviso that m+n is an integer of ≥1; EO and PO may be random or block in no special order in the parentheses]. The ink composition can realize good image in the plain paper. As a result, recording is carried out by the ink composition containing at least the compound represented by formula (1).
