Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duo binary optical transmission apparatus having an optical modulation apparatus for transmitting a duo binary optical signal having characteristics immune to wavelength distribution without using an electrical LPF or a phase modulator. SOLUTION: The optical modulation apparatus is provided with: a code conversion apparatus for converting out a two-level data signal into a duo binary signal; a modulator driving signal generating apparatus for receiving the duo binary signal to generate a modulator driving signal; a Mach gender interference system light intensity modulator for inputting the modulator driving signal, changing a phase of an optical carrier and outputting a modulated optical signal of which the light intensity is modulated; and a wide band pass filter for inputting the modulated optical signal from the light intensity modulator, filtering the signal in accordance with a determined band and outputting a duo binary optical signal.
