Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting apparatus with which the temperature distribution of a cast strip can further be made uniform by effectively restraining drift stream in molten steel dam. SOLUTION: In this continuous casting apparatus 1, one pair of rolls 110, 110, in which the dam is formed at the intermediate part of the mutually facing rolls and also, the cast strip 131 is formed by cooling the molten steel 130 supplied into the dam and sent out downward, are arranged. Then, a nozzle 10 having slits 11 for spouting the molten steel 130 by dipping the slits 11 below the molten steel surface 132 developed with the dam. Further, the slits 11 arranged by lining up a plurality thereof in the width direction of rolls 110 and also, the slits disposed at least at both ends in these slits 11, are constituted so as to spout the molten steel 130 with almost parabolic flowing speed distribution having the maximum value at near the center portion.
