RADIO BASE STATION AND COMMUNICATION SPEED SETTING METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable setting of a communication speed with less message at the time of setting the communication speed in a mobile communication system. SOLUTION: A radio base station 102, a radio mobile station 101 and a radio controller 103 previously store specified communication speed values (specified speed values a, b, c) for specifying communication speeds, with respect to an opposite communication party in specified communication value storage sections 123, 111, 131 so that the values correspond to numbers (No.1, 2, 3), respectively. In setting a communication speed, a base station control unit 121 of the station 102 notifies a communication processing section 122, the stations 101, 103 about a number to set a communication speed by a specified communication speed value corresponding to the this number. Upon completion of setting of the communication speed, a communication link to the opposite communication party is set up between the devices to start communication. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
