COATING DEVICE AND COATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus and a coating method for stably performing coating even in the case of coating belt like bodies having different thicknesses to each other with a coating liquid by connecting them. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus is provided with: a primary side bar for applying the coating liquid onto one surface of the belt like body transported in a fixed direction; a secondary bar arranged in the downstream side of the primary side bar along the transportation direction of the belt-like body and for adjusting the coating liquid applied on the belt like body to a prescribed thickness; and a wrap angle holding roller arranged between the primary side bar and the secondary side bar and for holding the wrap angle of the belt-like body relative to the primary side bar and the secondary side bar to a prescribed angle by pressing the surface opposite to the side coated with the coating liquid on the belt-like body.
