PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic condition analysis device for automatically analyzing traffic conditions such as traffic jam, and reducing the labors of persons. SOLUTION: This traffic condition analysis device for analyzing the traffic conditions of roads based on traffic condition information generated from data obtained by detecting the conditions of a vehicle on the roads is provided with a generating means (traffic condition decision part) 7 for generating time-series traffic condition data indicating a change in the traffic condition information corresponding to the time and location on the roads, a storage means (pattern database) 6 for storing time-series traffic condition patterns indicating a change in the traffic condition information in accordance with the time and on-road location with respect to the various traffic condition patterns, and an analysis means (traffic condition decision part) 7 for analyzing the traffic conditions based on the pattern matching of the time-series traffic condition data and the time-series traffic condition patterns.
