Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable small device at a low cost, which improves its detection sensitivity and can carry out a measurement in a short time. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a method (1) in which a crystal oscillator is used, and a gas detection is carried out by utilizing a chemical reaction or an adsorption characteristic between object gas to be measured and an electrode material of a crystal oscillator, or a method (2) in which the crystal oscillator is used, and the object gas to be measured is decomposed by a redox reaction in a reaction tube thereby changing the form of the object gas to be measured into a decomposition product, and the gas detection is carried out by utilizing the chemical reaction or the adsorption characteristic between the decomposition product and the electrode material of the crystal oscillator.
