Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional food capable of decreasing a blood glucose level without causing side effects, and to provide a medicament. SOLUTION: Brassica campestris (Komatsuna) or its hybrid is used in decreasing blood glucose as the functional food or the medicament, because it decreases the blood glucose level or inhibits increase of the blood glucose level. A juice, a jelly or a dried pulverized powder is exemplified as the functional food. The juice is produced by pulverizing and mixing the Komatsuna or its hybrid together with a liquid and a bitterness softening material. The powder is produced by subjecting the Komatsuna or its hybrid to drying, such as solar drying, vacuum drying, and freeze-drying, and then to pulverizing. The Komatsuna or its hybrid is effectively decreased in its bitterness, by preliminarily treating it with hot water, etc., and then processing it to remove elements causing the bitterness.
