PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watch which can be thinned ensuring waterproofness and improve productivity. SOLUTION: A first and a second annular packing abutments 12, 13 are disposed on circumference of an access opening 11 of a back cover part 7 formed in a unified body with a trunk part. The first packing abutment 13 is made the same form as periphery of a turncated cone. The second packing abutment 13 is made to follow acute angle by back side of the battery access opening 11 at the first packing abutment 12. An annular packing 26 having elasticity is fixed to the circumference of an insertion part 23 which is inserted in the battery access opening 11 of the battery cover 21 which opens and closes the access opening 11. The packing 26 is sandwiched in the state of compression between the periphery of the insertion part 23 and both of the packing abutments 12, 13, and brought into close contact with both of the packing abutments 12, 13. The battery cover 21 is fixed at liquidtight to the battery access opening 11 thorough the packing 26. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
