Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldaway armrest apparatus whose armrests are horizontal even when a backrest is reclined. SOLUTION: This foldaway armrest apparatus 7 is provided with: the armrests 73 which are rotatably fitted to the side parts of the reclining backrest 15 and which can be folded flush with the backrest 15; armrest supports 76 which are rotatably fitted to a seat 16 and which can be folded flush with members 75 for supporting a sitting person; connecting means 77 for connecting the tips of the rotated armrests 73 and the tips of the rotated armrest supports 76 in a state where an angle is variable; and contracting and extending means 78 for adjusting a length so that the arrangement of the connected armrests 73 and armrest supports 76 forms parallelograms with the backrest 15 and the seat 16.
