REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in a remote monitoring system, a change of state which should not normally be decided as "abnormal" is reported. SOLUTION: A remote monitoring apparatus 5 is provided with a water-level detecting electrode rod 3 capable of detecting "water-level full abnormality" when a water-level exceeds an upper limit of a water tank and of detecting a "water-level reducing abnormality" when it is lower than a lower limit and a water tank operation monitoring panel 4 for closing an electric contact and outputting an ON signal by linking with detection of the "water-level full abnormality" or the "water-level reducing abnormality." It is recognized as "state change generation" when the electric contact turns to ON from OFF and as "state change recovery" when it changes from ON to OFF. Then, when a "state change duration" from the "state change generation" to "state change recovery" exceeds a reported delay time changing in accordance of the day of the week and time, it is reported to an external information center 7 via a communication line 6 that an abnormality occurs. Thus, a report by an instantaneous state change which should not be decided as "abnormality" can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
