Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring the concentration of oxygen, capable of easily measuring the concentration of oxygen in a gas duct, while suppressing the cost. SOLUTION: An inspection area is partitioned off from the atmosphere, and the concentration of oxygen in the inspection area is measured, on the basis of inspecting light P made to pass through the atmosphere and through the inspection area in the oxygen concentration measuring method. The inspection light P has a wavelength, lying within the range between 200 nm and 203 nm. The temperature inside the inspection area is 400°C or higher. The inspection area is partitioned off from the atmosphere, and the concentration of oxygen in the inspection area is measured, on the basis of the inspecting light P made to pass through the atmosphere and through the inspection area in the oxygen concentration measuring apparatus. The oxygen concentration measuring apparatus is provided with both a crust 1 for partitioning off its inside from the atmosphere to be the inspection area and a light source 3 for emitting the inspecting light P which is to pass through the atmosphere and through the inspection area.
