Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence and an assembly method therefor, excellent in assembling property and contributable to a problem of disposal of wood from thinning. SOLUTION: Through holes 20 and 21 are cut in a post 2 of wood from thinning, and a horizontal rope material 3 is passed through the through holes 20 and 21. Stoppers 4 are movably fitted round the horizontal rope material 3, and the stoppers 4 are pressed into the through holes 20 and 21 to fix the horizontal rope material 3 on the post 2. The stoppers 4 comprise a flexible member formed to an external taper surface 40 and provided with a slit 42 connecting the exterior and interior along an overall axial length.
