Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an excellently safe skin cosmetic having excellent fresh sense of use and hardly irritating the skin in the skin cosmetic the recipe of which is determined by the combination of a thickener and an oil component. SOLUTION: This skin cosmetic comprising a composition containing an organic solvent or the oil component as a dispersion medium and water as a dispersed phase contains the thickener comprising a microgel obtained by dissolving a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer in the dispersed phase and carrying out a radical polymerization thereof in the dispersed phase, and a specific alkylene glycol dineopentanoate and/or an ester of neopentanoic acid.
